VIENNA: the new LV women’s universe

Some of you may remember THIS post from November, when the gorgeous new Louis Vuitton store here in Vienna opened its doors. However, up until now the 2nd floor had not been opened due to a bit of construction work that was still going on. About 10 days ago the breath-taking women’s universe finally opened to public and I was amongst the lucky few who got to peek the day before! In all honesty, I have rarely seen a more beautiful store! Well, I already knew the rest of the store was beautiful, but the women’s universe is on a whole other level … it feels like a giant walk-in closet, super elegant while still feeling familiar and welcoming. The furniture that was picked out is stunning and the gem of the entire floor is definitely the private salon for the made-to-order leather goods. I felt like I was inside a jewelry box, with the dark wood used on the walls, the delicate shelves to display special pieces and the giant truck with 8 different leathers, 27 different colors and plenty of other wonderful details to choose for your own personalized bag. And don’t even get me started with the shoes in the photo below – mildly obsessed to say the least!! But, since pictures are worth a 1000 words, I’ll let those do the talking now 🙂

27 colors for the Haute Maroquinerie – a service where special customers can create their own personal bag! You can choose from 5 different bags and can decided everything from the leather used, the color, hardware, lining, … to make a unique bag! The waiting period is around 6 months for those bags, sometimes even up to a year.
