Once a denim girl, always a denim girl
You know as they say: Once a denim girl, always a denim girl. Which is exactly why I don’t have a problem wearing denim during Fashion Week. Quite the opposite, actually. I like to dress in ways that feel most natural to me personally, which instantly translates to my mood and confidence. My ideal outfit? Jeans dressed up with a pop of color, an eye-catching bag (like the boho Lola bag by AIGNER) and simple make-up. 100% me.

The best part about denim? It works so well with almost everything – for example the new DADA Spring/Summer ’19 collection, which AIGNER presented on the runway in Milan last week. It is colorful and rebellious. “The Dada movement consisted of artists who rejected the logic, reason, and aestheticism of modern capitalist society, instead expressing nonsense, irrationality, and anti-bourgeois protest in their works.” Which is exactly the source of inspiration of creative director Christian Alexander Beck to create a mix and match collection of prints and materials that seem to not belong together at first glance, but harmonize incredibly well as a whole. The new DADA collection combines athletic elements with heels, denim with a Western look and casual pieces that are adorned with pearls or embellished with sequins. Primary colors are a major thing and so is the proud, free and slightly provocative attitude to go along with it. Breaking the rules has never looked better!
