2019 was not my favorite year. But it was one of the most important ones so far. It was a year of change, endless learnings, self-reflecting and set-backs that turned into relief.
The week between Christmas and NYE is generally the time of the year where you find yourself caught in a mix of sweatpants and sequins.
Imagine that one friend, who is so organized, that (almost) all presents are purchased, if not even wrapped, two weeks before Christmas.
It is barely 4pm as I am typing this and the sun is nowhere to be seen. Short days, cold weather and gray skies are generally a key-player in my need to escape to a warm and sunny place, far far away.
I n all honesty, I was very tempted to just copy/paste last year’s Black Friday post and publish it again. I absolutely stand by the thought that a good deal is worth the hunt (and always fun).
Summer is over. That’s a (sad) fact. And even though we will spend our free time wrapped in blankets on the sofa, rather than lounging on the outdoor deck for the next four or five months, our new lounge –
October in Vienna is that awkward time of the year where the mornings are soaked in cold, wet fog and the afternoons are drenched in sunlight and warmth.
To me, “home” is defined more by emotions rather than by geographic location. Theoretically, there have been many places that I used to call home throughout the past 30 years.
