When I was younger – growing up in Southern California – driving up to L.A. was always a highlight. It was usually connected with some sort of weekend activities and my parents would take the time to drive through Beverly Hills with us kids to go “house hunting”.

Vienna is famous for it’s many traditional balls. While the peak of the ball season is usually January and February with the world-known Opera Ball, June also has something amazing to offer when it comes to Vienna’s ball culture:

Packing for a 2-week long trip is never an easy task, especially if different climates and occasions await. As you guys know, we attended a wedding in California (which was the main reason for the trip), and the festivities also involved a rehearsal dinner.

What do you wear to a rehearsal dinner? Well, considering the fact that there is no such thing as a rehearsal dinner with German weddings, I was pretty much clueless in regards to said question.

Lately, I have been really happy. I don’t know how else to put it. It is hard to find the exact reason or words to describe the feeling, but after a very travel-intense month in April with barely any time at home or with Mike (aka my rock), May has been such a welcome change in pace.
