More green, please!

As I am writing this, I am currently somewhere mid-air between Montreal and Munich on my way back to Vienna. In other words: Vacation is over! It has been an amazing 3 weeks and in the past few days, I really noticed myself calmer than usual, more rested and relaxed. During our time in Maui I rarely felt the need to open my laptop or check my inbox, which was amazing! And much needed! However, aside from plenty of sleep and relaxation, vacation also means plenty of indulging. A cocktail by the pool, molten chocolate cake and red wine for dessert. A few nachos as an afternoon snack and french toast for breakfast. You know the drill, right? So this week, I am excited about getting back to my healthy routine, spending some time at the gym and drinking lots of greens. Speaking of which: One of my favorite green detox smoothie at the moment is currently up on the beautystories blog by Douglas, so be sure to head on over there for the recipe and to find out more about all the super healthy ingredients. Happy Monday!

I definitely know that drill! It’s so easy to over-indulge on vacation! I’ve been Netflix bingeing on documentaries like “Forks over Knives” and “Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead” and they always sway me towards wanting a more plant-based diet, but between travel and work and now trying to out-process from one job on one continent, plan a move, and in-process into another job on another continent my ability to plan and execute healthy meals is shot! If I had a blender that could be used on multiple continents, I’d be much better off! Guess I’ll just stuff myself silly until I move!
