Refill, Please! 5 products worth re-buying
When it comes to my bathroom shelf, I do not mess around. If you have any sort of skin issues, whether dry, sensitive or acne prone, you are probably the same. Because let’s be honest, we all don’t have the time or energy to use products our skin does not appreciate. Hence, I only recommend products I have used and approved myself! The same goes for scents and toothpaste, by the way. And because last weekend was one of those weekends where I started running out of everything I love all at the same time, I thought it would be a good idea to share a few of the products that I use daily. You know, the ones that are worth re-buying. On that note, I am ready for a refill – who’s with me?
5 products worth re-buying!
Byredo Mojave Ghost: I only started using this scent last year in November, but as you can tell, I went through the bottle as if I had bathed in the Eau de Parfum. The scent is a unique blend of the resilient ghost flower, paired with heady Ambrette and tart Jamaican Naseberry, unfurling into powdery Violet, soft Sandalwood and fresh Magnolia. Words don’t really do it justice and I get complimented on the scent all the time. I will be re-stocking for sure, not only because the bottle is a beauty in the bathroom, but because the scent is intoxicating in a very good way! By the way, I just added Sundazed and Black Saffron from Byredo to my collection – they are great but not quite the same like Mojave Ghost, to me personally.
Caudalie Vinosource S.O.S. Intense Moisturizing Cream: Caudalie seems to be one of those brands that simply works for my dry and sensitive skin. I have tested various products from the brand for over two years now and have re-purchased items like the S.O.S. Serum, Cleansing Oil, Micellar Water and this moisturizer multiple times. Why I love it? The S.O.S. intense moisturizing cream is rich enough to supply my face with enough moisture, yet does not feel heavy on the skin! Great for both winter and summer. When my suitcase was lost 10 days ago in Paris, I ran to the nearest pharmacy and re-purchased this one.
Caudalie Make-Up Removing Cleansing Oil: I used to be the biggest micellar water advocate in terms of my cleansing routine. However, when I attended the Biotherm Healing Summit last October, one of the skin analysts told me, that a cleansing oil might be more beneficial for my skin type. I still love micellar water and use it every now and then as step two in a double cleanse routine, but on the daily, I am all about this cleansing oil and have re-stocked three times already. This is bottle no. 4 and I love it!
Dior Intense Rescue Age Delay Revitalizing Oil-Serum: To me, it is weird to see so many oil-based products as part of my beauty routine now. I used to be such an anti-oil activist, claiming it made my skin itchy. It still does, when it is not a high-quality product and the oil simply sits on my skin, locking the pores. However, with oil that is easily absorbed, it is just what my skin needs. Unfortunately, this revitalizing oil-serum doesn’t come cheap, but I just re-stocked (93€, outchhh) and am so happy I did.
Marvins Whitening Mint Toothpaste: Not really a beauty product, but a personal favorite. I have a slight teeth-brushing-obsession and am always on the hunt for new toothpastes to try. Marvins is the brand they have at all of the Soho Houses in the amenity kits and I love it so much. When I spotted it at a pharmacy in Paris 4 weeks ago, I had to have it. Despite the fact that it is the most expensive toothpaste I have ever had, I just purchased a 3-pack. Not only is the minty taste good, but is also looks the part… Can anyone else relate to a toothpaste addiction? What’s your favorite brand?
I’ve used the Caudalie SOS Serum and it was incredible! Definitely recommend giving that a go if you like the cream.
