EVENTS: a date with La Prairie for the White Caviar Illumination Systeme

EVENTS: a date with La Prairie for the White Caviar Illumination Systeme

Last week I was invited to a lovely event with LaPrairie for the presentation of their new White Caviar Illuminating Système. It was a super intimate gathering, held in the gorgeous suite no. 36 of the Hotel Bristol with only 5 other bloggers! We got to learn a ton about the new collection, drank champagne and ate white chocolate mousse in LaPrairie packaging ♥ Basically the essence of the White Caviar Illumination Systeme is that it prevents dark pigmentation due to aging or too much sun and helps against dark circles underneath the eyes. Of course I was a bit worried about my freckles when I heard the purpose of the product, but after the event Katrin of LaPrairie took a second to chat with me about my freckles and explained that freckles are made of a different kind of pigmentation than those aging and sun spots. Now, I know I am still far too young to worry about aging spots – but believe it or not, my mom (who is a super young mama at age 40-something) already had one of those spots removed below her eye. Even though the cream helps once you already have the spots, preventation is the way to go, if you ask me. I’ve been testing the eye cream for a week now and absolutely love it. I ALWAYS have dry skin around the eyes and nose and after only 6 days of using the White Caviar Illumination Eye Cream it feels like my skin so much smoother and far more moisturized!

The product design is disappointing, especially the studded details are a no go. To me La Prairie normally is pure elegance, but this is simply crude.

      I thought so too :/
It does not look elegant and in a way kind of cheap ..

I actually love the product design! Maybe it comes across differently on the pictures, but I think the packaging is gorgeous. I think the silver part is supposed to resemble the caviar, rather than studs and I love the little spatula that comes with it! I have the creme on display in our bathroom 🙂
